Busan's maritime cluster taking off
In connection with the Busan innovation city project in South Korea, the Busan port authority has confirmed that four organisations have moved into the city's Dongsam district, which is earmarked as a cluster for the domestic maritime and fisheries industry.
The zone is designated to be a research and education hub for the maritime and fisheries industry and comprises an area of 610,000 sqm.
With this move, Busan has moved a step closer to its goal of becoming a shipping centre. Construction of the Dongsam-dong innovation district began in 2012 and is expected to be fully completed by 2017
